Our Approach

To safeguard animal welfare, PROYA minimizes the use of laboratory animals during product development and actively establishes and implements alternative testing methods. Where regulations permit and product safety is assured, the company proactively adopts advanced scientific technologies and methods, including in silico modeling, in vitro assays, and Integrated Approaches to Testing and Assessment (IATA), alongside risk assessments, to replace animal testing.

PROYA strictly adheres to the laws and regulations of China and all other countries or regions where it operates.

All products, whether manufactured directly by Proya Cosmetics or through contract manufacturing, fully comply with Chinese laws and regulations, PROYA's Code of Ethics and Conduct, and our internal good practice management guidelines.

Across all communication channels—including packaging, television, websites, advertisements, and mobile apps—and when engaging with stakeholders such as consumers, makeup artists, dermatologists, and pharmacists, we maintain sincere product communication and actively listen to feedback from consumers and the public.

PROYA goes beyond mere compliance with laws, regulations, and national or industry standards. We proactively respond to consumer expectations and industry trends, striving to ensure product safety and improve product quality through more rigorous internal standards. We strictly refrain from using any ingredients or packaging materials that do not meet our internal standards, even if their use is legally permitted. For example, products launched since 2019 are free from formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, despite such substances still being permitted by regulations in certain countries and regions at that time.

We closely monitor scientific progress and proactively phase out controversial ingredients from our formulations, rather than wait for regulatory bans to be implemented. For example, as early as 2014, PROYA discontinued the use of isopropylparaben and isobutylparaben in its formulations, well before these ingredients were officially banned by Chinese regulations in 2015.

PROYA also prioritizes the environmental attributes of its ingredients and packaging materials, even in the absence of explicit legal or regulatory requirements. For example, since 2015, we have annually increased the proportion of plant-based fibers in our sheet masks, replacing traditional materials with greener, more eco-friendly alternatives.
